Editorial: Time to Sweep Clean

It has become readily apparent, over the last few years, that the Republican Party cannot be trusted to manage in a sensible way, the United States' foreign policy.

The debacle in Iraq, the much publicized "war on terror" which resulted in Guantanamo and it's abuses, and the declining respect which much of the world has for the United States as a country, are certain indicators of policies gone terribly wrong.

We recommend that our readers carefully consider alternative candidates to those Republicans running for re-election and vote for these alternatives be they independents, democrats, or of another registered political party.

It is our conviction that for the sake of our country, voters need to sweep the Republicans, and the Bush coterie out of office, and into the dustbin of history.
