Roman Catholic Church agency, gay-friendly group form adoption pact

Catholic World News Reported:

San Francisco, Aug. 03 - After receiving a Vatican directive to stop arranging adoptions by homosexual couples, the Archdiocese of San Francisco has formed an alliance with another agency to handle adoptions-- including adoptions by gay couples.

Catholic Charities of San Francisco announced on August 2 that it was entering into a partnership with Family Builders by Adoption, a non-profit agency based in Oakland, California. Under the terms of the agreement, Catholic Charities will provide support for adoption services, but the actual placement of children in adoptive homes will be supervised by Family Builders.
